ADHD Evaluation
Attention challenges can look like distraction, restlessness, forgetfulness, unfinished work, or big emotional reactions. Children may struggle with focus, following directions, organization, and completing tasks despite their best efforts.
Our evaluation gathers information from parents and teachers through standardized rating scales, followed by direct testing of attention and executive functioning. Testing typically involves 1–2 sessions of 2–3 hours.
Families receive a clear diagnostic answer, a written report with recommendations ranked by priority for home and school, 504 accommodation recommendations, and a feedback meeting. With parent consent, we can also meet with the school team.
Comprehensive Psychoeducational Evaluation
For children who struggle with reading, spelling, writing, or math, or who make slow progress despite extra help. We look at how your child thinks, learns, and processes information, including attention, memory, and social-emotional well-being.
The evaluation uses cognitive and academic achievement testing, along with school records, teacher input, and additional assessments when needed. Testing typically involves 2–3 sessions of 2–3 hours.
It can identify learning disabilities in reading, writing, and math, including dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia. Families receive a detailed report with recommendations ranked by priority, along with IEP and 504 guidance, a feedback meeting, and a school team meeting with consent.
Autism Evaluation
If you have wondered whether your child might be autistic, a thorough evaluation can bring clarity. Signs may include delayed or unusual speech, difficulty with social interaction, repetitive behaviors, intense interests, or strong reactions to sounds, textures, and changes in routine.
Every autism evaluation includes the ADOS-2, a detailed developmental interview, and standardized assessments of communication, social skills, adaptive functioning, and behavior. We also screen for co-occurring conditions such as ADHD and anxiety.
Evaluations include EyeContact, an eye-tracking tool authorized for autism screening, used alongside the ADOS-2 and other clinical observations. This screening can be completed at home. Testing typically involves 2–3 sessions.
Families receive a clear diagnostic answer, an understanding of their child's strengths and needs, and a roadmap for therapies, school services, and Regional Center applications.
Gifted and Advanced Learner Evaluation
For children who learn quickly, think in unexpected ways, show advanced reasoning, or need more challenge than their classroom offers. Some children may also be bright while experiencing difficulties with attention, learning, or emotional regulation.
We use the WPPSI-IV for younger children and the WISC-V for older children to understand intellectual strengths. Academic achievement testing may also be included when helpful. We look for twice-exceptional (2e) profiles, where giftedness coexists with ADHD, autism, anxiety, or a learning difference.
Testing typically involves one session of 2–3 hours. Families receive a detailed cognitive profile, index scores, and recommendations for enrichment and school planning. Before testing, we help families understand the requirements of their target schools and programs.
Every evaluation includes
- A first call within 24 hours to understand your concerns.
- Teacher input before testing, with your written consent.
- Testing in your home, within 3 weeks of the first call.
- A written report in 7–10 days, with recommendations ranked by priority.
- A feedback meeting to walk you through the findings.
- A school team meeting, with your consent.
After the evaluation
An evaluation is the beginning of your family's journey, not the end. We help you understand the findings and identify practical next steps for your child.
During your feedback meeting, we discuss the recommendations and help you understand the support your child may need at home and at school.
